How to Help Calm Your Body

In the video above, Dr. Rand got to briefly touch on some of our therapies to help calm your body down and try to reduce the hardship that intense training causes our body.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy, also known as “cold therapy,” is a technique where the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures for several minutes. Athletes have utilized this technique for years and it is becoming popular for its’ powerful benefits.

By immersing the body in extremely cold non-liquid nitrogen air for several minutes, users of cryotherapy have reported several major health benefits: pain management, workout recovery and weight management, mental well-being for migraines and mood disorders, and much more for whole body wellness.

IV Drip Therapy

With direct intravenous drip, you can revitalize your body much more efficiently by absorbing vitamins and minerals directly into your blood. Sessions usually last 15-20 minutes, allowing you to replenish and restore your energy and effectively combat bacterial and viral illness.

A highly effective method of pain-relief by manually releasing trigger points, muscle spasms, and “landmine” knots. Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of bodywork that includes massage and therapeutic exercise and activity.

Over time muscles can become hypertonic (too tight) and/or form adhesions that not only affect movement and performance but alignment of tissues and bones to which they are attached. In addition, nerves that travel through muscle tissue as well as through and by bones and fascia affected by those muscles can be negatively affected to cause pain and dysfunction.

NMT can be used to eliminate pain secondary to misalignment, abnormal muscle physiology, and nerve entrapment.

Infrared Sauna

Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you. Instead, they use infrared panels to warm your body directly.

These panels are designed to heat your body before heating the air, allowing them to operate at a lower temperature than traditional saunas. This type of environment is designed to be more tolerable, allowing you to experience a more intense sweat at a lower temperature.

The supposed benefits of using an infrared sauna are similar to those experienced with a traditional sauna. These include:

  • better sleep
  • relaxation
  • detoxification
  • weight loss
  • relief from sore muscles
  • relief from joint pain such as arthritis
  • clear and tighter skin
  • improved circulation
  • help for people with chronic fatigue syndrome
